As a key player in the supply chain, we take our responsibilities very seriously and have developed and implemented a robust due-diligence framework based on risk assessment and modelled on the guidance issued by the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), the LBMA (London Bullion Market Association), the RMI (Responsible Mineral Initiative), and the DMCC Guidance and DMCC Rules (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre). Recognition & Credentials
Omega Gold is an accredited Dubai Good Delivery (DGD) gold and silver trader, so our bars are accepted and approved at the clearing house of the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX)
In line with our ambitious drive to promote international standards for local and regional trades, Omega Gold is committed to the Dubai Good Delivery standard. This standard is specifically designed for gold bars below a kilo and a purity of 995 or higher. The creation of this standard has improved tradability and distribution of small gold bars and enhanced the reputation of approved refineries and traders. By ultimately increasing confidence in the quality of gold bars for the local and international markets, this system will in turn create extra trade finance activities. Approved bars also meet delivery requirements for the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX), thus easing the process for market participants. The qualifying criteria is designed to ensure the sustainability of the refinery’s operations with a specified volume of production and a minimum tangible net worth, along with appropriate KYC (Know Your Client) procedures.
